Without him last season maybe it wouldn’t have been possible. “We try to be a team and so far we have done incredible with results.“We have to carry on, now he is back and he is now fresh in mind and legs. Derby boss Lampard tells Bielsa: That’s bad sportsmanshipby Paul Vegas9 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveDerby boss Frank Lampard says Leeds United have TWICE had spies watch their training this season. Before last night’s win, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa accepted responsibility for his club spying on Derby’s training session on Thursday, saying that it was his idea.Lampard said: “I don’t think we need to [make a complaint] because he has admitted it. It’s up to the league to see how they deal with it. Obviously it’s not just Derby County. We had someone the day before we lost 4-1 against them. “Now, Leeds can beat you 4-1 they are a fantastic team but we had someone in the bushes that day so twice this season now. The man was asked to leave but it wasn’t followed up like it was this time.”Asked about Bielsa taking responsibility, Lampard said: “Well that’s good, I spoke to him yesterday afternoon myself and he did the same to me so I’m pleased he’s done it again and said that. I think it makes it easier to deal with because at least, on a sportsmans’ level, it’s bad in my opinion. “If we are going to talk about culturally I did it somewhere else and it was fine then that doesn’t work for me because I don’t believe that it is fine on that level. It has disrupted our build-up for this game. “The fortunate thing is that it has disrupted us without really doing anything. People will stand here and say I’m trying to make excuses before the game, I will speak like this after the game as well, win, lose or draw because of what’s happened.” About the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say

COLUMBUS, OH – SEPTEMBER 19: Quarterback Cardale Jones #12 of the Ohio State Buckeyes warms up before the game against the Northern Illinois Huskies at Ohio Stadium on September 19, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio. (Photo by Andrew Weber/Getty Images)Cardale Jones has until 11:59 p.m. E.T. to decide his future as a college football player. Will the redshirt sophomore declare for the NFL Draft or opt to return to Ohio State for another season? It’s one of the most intriguing decisions we’ve ever seen from a college football player. Jones has started just three games at the college level, but they were three incredible starts – wins against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon – leading the Buckeyes to the national championship. If he decides to return to Columbus, there’s no guarantee he’ll be the starter for Urban Meyer in 2015 – J.T. Barrett and Braxton Miller could both be back, too. Jones is 22. Age wise, he’s ready. Physically, he’s probably ready, too. But is he ready mentally? Does that even matter? ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper believes Jones could be a second-round pick in this year’s draft, but has the potential to be a top-five pick and the No. 1 QB taken in 2016 if he returns to school, wins the starting job and improves. Here’s what people are saying the Ohio State quarterback should do: Cardale Jones should declare for the NFL draft. His stock can’t get any higher. He would be perfect as a backup for Big Ben for example.— Linda Cohn (@lindacohn) January 15, 2015If Cardale is leaving he has to say so by 11:59 tonight. Maurizio Sarri has reached an agreement with Juventus to become the Serie A champions’ next head coach and has requested Chelsea release him from his contract to join the Bianconeri, Goal understands.Fali Ramadani, Sarri’s agent, met with Chelsea management Friday to discuss his client’s future with the club as a move to Turin draws closer and closer. The 60-year-old Sarri intended to wait until the end of the season, and specifically the Europa League final, to consider the subject of what came next in his career. Article continues below Editors’ Picks ‘There is no creativity’ – Can Solskjaer get Man Utd scoring freely again? ‘Everyone legged it on to the pitch!’ – How Foden went from Man City superfan to future superstar Emery out of jail – for now – as brilliant Pepe papers over Arsenal’s cracks What is Manchester United’s ownership situation and how would Kevin Glazer’s sale of shares affect the club? But the Chelsea boss has received an offer from Juventus that would pay him €7 million (£6m/$8m) to succeed Massimiliano Allegri, who had coached the Bianconeri to five straight league titles, at the club. Ramadani relayed news of that offer to Chelsea, as well as Sarri’s request to be allowed to join Juventus, though the Blues will take a few days before providing the manager with an answer. Chelsea do not want to be unprepared for Sarri’s departure and are targeting a new manager before giving the green light for their current boss to leave.Former Chelsea star and current Derby County manager Frank Lampard has been linked with the job in recent weeks, though the ex-Blues midfielder has downplayed those reports in the build up to his side’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the Championship promotion play-off final.Sarri appears to have beaten out a host of candidates for the position, though that list includes a trio of managers in Mauricio Pochettino, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp who were unlikely to depart for Turin due to their strong relationships with their current clubs.Having been the subject to speculation about his job for much of the second half of the season, and enduring a difficult relationship with the Chelsea supporters, Sarri did not share the same connection to the club as his Premier League colleagues. Should Sarri depart for Juventus, he will leave Chelsea having improved on the league position achieved by Antonio Conte in 2017-18, going from fifth to third, and returned the club to the Champions League for next term.He also guided the Blues to a pair of finals, falling to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup decider on penalties while defeating London rivals Arsenal 4-1 in the Europa League final on May 29. Sarri will be joining a former rival in the process, having guided Napoli from 2015-18, guiding them to a pair of second-place finishes behind Juventus.
Real Madrid have cooled their interest in Neymar due to various factors including the implications that a move for the Brazilian would have on their goal to one day land his Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Kylian Mbappe.Sources close to events at the Santiago Bernabeu suggest that the Brazil international is now not a top target for the Blancos despite there having been initial enthusiasm to rival Barcelona for a deal. Madrid had been keen to explore the possibility of signing Neymar after it appeared he wanted out of PSG, but they are instead focusing their attention on other targets, such as Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Zinedine Zidane’s side have already spent big during the current transfer window bringing in the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy.Neymar has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and he certainly slips into the ‘Galactico’ talent category, with Madrid president Florentino Perez a big fan of the player.Indeed, there was talk of the South American moving to Real prior to his switch to Barcelona back in 2013 and Madrid also missed out when he made the switch to PSG.The Madrid board are, however, no longer in universal agreement that Neymar is the right fit for the club.Several factors are being taken into consideration by the Blancos as they move away from their interest in Neymar, with the significant finances that would be needed in both transfer fee and wages one concern. There are also doubts when it comes to recent events on and off the pitch, with the forward’s performances across two seasons at PSG, which have included enforced spells on the sidelines through injury, having not convinced despite 51 goals in 58 appearances.Real are also aware that bringing in Neymar at this stage may prevent them from returning to the French capital to buy another of PSG’s star front men.Mbappe is a long-standing target and the World Cup-winning striker is considered to be a more suitable option at just 20 years of age, with Madrid likely to push hard to sign him in the future. With all of that taken into account, Real have decided not to go all-in for the Brazilian superstar at this stage and, although they will continue to monitor developments, it does leave the door open for Barca to push ahead with a potential deal.Madrid’s Clasico rivals are interested in re-signing Neymar, but are adamant that he needs to fulfil certain criteria first, including admitting his acceptance that he made a mistake leaving in the first place, taking a salary cut and ending various legal disputes with the Catalans. Indeed, Blaugrana vice-president Jordi Cardoner claimed on Thursday that the player does want to return to Camp Nou, although stressed that no formal transfer discussions have yet taken place.
