Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up Members of Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene with Gardai and ambulance crews when rescue swimmers and a recovery boat were launched to rescue the man. The man was pulled to safety and is recovering at the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was brought after the incident which has been recorded as the third separate time the city’s Fire and Rescue service have been called to an incident at the river in the last seven days.
